Who Do You Think You Are: Exploring Your DNA to Discover Ancestry

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adults
Date: 5/30/2018
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
Your DNA can do more than just direct your everyday life. It can tell the story of your history. Technology has made it possible for individuals to see into their genes, but what can we actually learn from exploring our DNA? Can it be used to piece together your family history? The instructor will discuss how DNA works, how you inherited your DNA, and how the DNA in your cells can reveal ancestry. Abby Levitt, Assistant Professor of Biology from the University of Findlay will be the speaker.
